At 7th Avenue Workplace Design, we create commercial interiors that are creative, practical, and environmentally responsible. We recognise that even small decisions can have a lasting impact, and we’re committed to reducing our environmental footprint—both in how we work and in the spaces we help shape.
1. Our Sustainability Commitments
We aim to:
Minimise waste and emissions through efficient working practices
Specify responsibly sourced, low-impact materials
Help clients make informed, sustainable design choices
Collaborate with suppliers and contractors who share our values
Continuously review and improve our approach to sustainability
2. Sustainable Design & Specification
Materials
We prioritise the use of low-VOC, recycled, recyclable, and renewable materials, select FSC/PEFC-certified timber, and request Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) where available. Our choices support longevity, indoor air quality, and ease of maintenance.
Furniture & Fixture
We specify products that are durable, modular, and repairable, and we recommend manufacturers with strong sustainability credentials—including circular economy models and take-back schemes. Where suitable, we encourage the reuse of existing furniture.
Waste & Lifecycle Thinking
We design with adaptability and lifecycle impact in mind, avoiding over-specification, limiting material redundancy, and considering end-of-life reuse or recycling options.
3. Low-Impact Studio Practices
We operate a remote-first, digital-first studio to reduce our operational footprint:
Minimal travel and digital collaboration tools are prioritised
We maintain a paperless office, printing only when essential
Our studio uses energy-efficient lighting and equipment
We source from eco-conscious suppliers whenever materials are required
4. Supporting Sustainable Delivery
Sustainability is embedded from the earliest stages of every project:
We present sustainable design options upfront
We help clients understand the long-term benefits of responsible product and material choices
We work with contractors and suppliers who follow best practices in environmental and waste management
5. Monitoring & Accountability
This policy is reviewed annually and updated where needed
Sustainability is discussed during project reviews and debriefs
Our Managing Director oversees its implementation and promotion across the business
